PIVOT

A personal command center designed to turn daily life into useful, searchable data.

PIVOT

“You do not need a perfect day. You need the ability to change direction. Bad day? Pivot. Bad habit? Pivot. Bad feeling? Pivot. You don't have to restart tomorrow. You can pivot now.”

THE IDEA

Conventional productivity tools rely on streak tracking. If you miss one day, the streak resets to zero, causing perfectionist guilt and total abandonment. Furthermore, cloud-based note apps scatter sensitive personal reflections across third-party remote servers.

oLmZ engineered PIVOT as an uncompromising, local-first personal command center designed to turn everyday activities — study sessions, flow states, dream logging, prayers, energy levels, and recoveries — into structured, searchable personal intelligence without third-party telemetry.

WHAT I BUILT

Engineered an offline-first progressive web app and native Android build utilizing Capacitor 8. Key subsystems include:

  • Local-First Database (Dexie.js): IndexedDB reactive queries with zero remote telemetry. Completely private and instant.
  • Offline Synthesized Audio Engine: Built a continuous soundscape generator with the Web Audio API synthesizing Brownian noise, 40Hz Gamma binaural beats, and ambient rain in-memory without downloading external audio files.
  • Operational Blueprints: 4 pre-built operating systems (Balanced Life OS, Game Dev & Builder Sprint, University Crunch, Spiritual Discipline).
  • Multi-Range Analytics & Distraction Audit: 7-day, 14-day, 30-day, and all-time correlation analysis tracking friction against focus hours.
  • Life Audit Markdown Dossier Export: Compiling circadian variance, flow session frequencies, and reflection logs into clean Markdown reports.
  • 16 Color Palettes & 3 Typography Modes: Full theme engine with Modern Sans, Code Mono, and Analog Serif modes with full RTL Arabic support.

TECHNOLOGY

React 19 TypeScript Vite Capacitor 8 Android SDK 36 & Gradle Dexie.js (IndexedDB) Web Audio API Tailwind CSS

THE HARD PART

Building audio synthesis threads that generate non-repeating Brownian noise and binaural frequencies without blocking the main UI thread or consuming heavy CPU power on mobile devices. In addition, handling Android hardware back-button navigation guards during active flow timer sessions to prevent accidental session termination.

HOW I SOLVED IT

Implemented Web Audio ScriptProcessor/AudioWorklet buffers generating random-walk mathematical noise on dedicated audio threads with automatic garbage collection cleanup on unmount. Handled mobile lifecycle states via Capacitor App and LocalNotification listeners, persisting timer start timestamps so timers remain 100% accurate even if the OS kills background execution.

RESULT

Fully compiled and verified Android APK artifact (PIVOT.apk, 7.61 MB) built with Gradle in 19 seconds. 100% test completion across all 22 operational feature modules with responsive parity across mobile and desktop.
